Loki is a 3 year old sable German Shepherd. She is daughter to Rogue and Caz from the 9-28-06 litter. Loki tested as #1 pick out of 10 puppies from that litter for showing fantastic drive during her 7 week old temperament test. Loki is a very independent and focused dog. She will retrieve, but prefers to destroy the balls, or attack anything that moves, including the tractor mower. Loki loves to hunt and I often find pieces of her conquests in the yard. She has strong prey and hunt drives.
She has a compact frame and is very agile, with very quick reflexes. Like her mother, she has excellent structure, and her disposition with humans is sweet and eager to please. I kept Loki, hoping to breed those characteristics into future litters; however, at her CERF (eye) exam, the opthamalogist located a corneal dystrophy on one of her eyes. It is currently debatable whether or not it is considered a genetic or inhereted trait, but can cause cloudy or blurred vision in certain cases. I was unable to locate another relative to Loki who had also been diagnosed with the disorder. However, in keeping with my #1 goal of producing the healthiest puppies possible, Loki was spayed. She is such a joy to train and work with, that I hope to still compete with her.
