Samson is an 8 year old black and tan German Shepherd.  Samson has strong German bloodlines with a family history of multiple titled Schutzhund winners.  Samson's full sister, Maxi vom Mittelwest (Schutzhund 3) won the 2001 German Sieger award.  Both Samson's parents and grandparents also have Schutzhund 3 titles.  Samson has been trained as an air-scent search and rescue dog since the age of 10 weeks, and has been successfully used on many searches.  Samson has passed air scent certifications in three separate states:  Arizona, Texas, and South Dakota.  Samson has an overall wonderful disposition, with a very strong desire to work.  Samson was neutered at the age of three due to significant allergies and an average hip OFA rating of "fair".  Samson also has a floppy left ear, which most people find just adds to his appeal.
